In honor of the Olympics and watching Michael Phelps' ridiculously huge shoulders and the Italian Pellegrini shatter world records in her prelims (for God's sake!!), I attacked my lap swim today with exceptional vigor. I don't want to sound arrogant, but I think my sidestroke could easily beat any reasonably in-shape 10 year old's.
Pick an apple, put it in my basket. Pick an apple ...
The Olympics make me jingoistic, rightfully so, I think. I've totally been into all sports lately, from watching beach volleyball, which is probably one of the most strenuous sports in the history of the world to bringing up old clips of slam-dunk contests on YouTube.
You want chills? Go watch Michael Jordan back up to the other end of the court, slowly turn a jog into a full-fledged sprint, and then jump from the free throw line to the basket. The man actually flew. Want more chills? Find the clip of past Opening Ceremonies when the flaming arrow lights the torch.
I am also two-for-two in real life Scrabble games. Holla.
